In the back of my mind growing up, I always thought I might end up as a writer, but never thought I would become one so early. I'm thrilled that it worked out this way and that I get a chance to write everyday about things I'm passionate about - sustainability, art, architecture, design, food and a lot more. My current obsessions in architecture are in the fields of shipping containers, prefab, emergency shelters and temporary and affordable housing.
Since the beginning of 2008, I have written about green design and sustainability at Inhabitat.com where over time I have taken on more responsibility and landed myself in the position of Architecture Editor. I occasionally write for Inhabitat's sister sites: Inhabitots and Ecouterre. Over the last few years I have also written for the likes of LowImpactLiving.com and eVolo.us. And of course I write about eco art and sustainable DIY here on etté studios.
Beyond the blog world, you can see my writing about green living on the hyper local site ParkCityGreen.org. I've also been published in the Fall/Winter 2010 print edition of eVolo Magazine (#3).
Currently I am working on my first architecture book, which is due out early in 2012.
Please feel free to contact me {bridgettemeinhold [at] gmail dot com} if you have any story ideas for print, online or book format. My specialties are in the realms of sustainable architecture, green design, eco art and green living.
