Terrarium How To Video
Who wouldn't want to have their own mini-world contained inside of a glass bowl? Terrariums as so wonderfully special and beautiful. They are their own microclimate. You could while away lots of time peering into one imagining miniature worlds that grow inside. But they are a little expensive and it seems so easy that maybe we could just make our own.
I was so excited last week when I saw Grace from Design*Sponge Online tweet that she was on her way to make a HowTo video for terrariums with Sprout Home, a gorgeous little home and garden boutique in Brooklyn. Grace and Tassy explain in wonderful detail how to go about making your very own miniature wonderland.
What's even better is that Sprout home sells the gorgeous empty terrariums online. I love the hand blown, recycled bubble glass. They're still pricey, but not nearly as pricey as buying one already done. You could also easily make one in leftover clear vases, fish bowls, water pitchers, maybe even a large wine decanter. What beautiful presents these would make, especially for someone living in the city needed a bit more nature in their apartment.
