Nice rugs are expensive, especially Persian rugs. Which is why this is such a stellar idea - patching parts and pieces from older rugs into a new one. That way you can take the best of each rug and get rid of the sections that are old or worn out. Surely there are old rugs at thrift stores that can be bought for cheap because they are run down, but still have good part to them. The hard part would be stitching it all together. Any ideas as to the best way to make something like this? I'd love to give it a try.
